Is organic farming sustainable?

  1. 0 Votes

Organic farming involves no pesticide use and no growth hormones. Since these are chemicals that require energy to produce, organic farming has an inherent sustainability advantage over conventional farming. However, we have a long way to go before organic farming can produce enough food for the world’s population. So it is sustainable on small scales, but its limitations currently reduce food output.
