Is farm raising shellfish for consumption a way to make it sustainable and better for the environment?

Farm raising anything for consumption (including shellfish) is an environmentally friendly and sustainable process. It cuts out any pollution emitted during the production process / shipping, and since you are raising them in a farm, it does not disturb any natural ecosystem that you would otherwise have to extract them from.

Farm raising is definitely better because it gives the ecosystem time to repopulate their numbers. Many shellfish are also natural filters, so farming them can actually help clean the water in that area. To read more about it, please visit the link below.
