I don’t know about WORST, but it’s certainly frustrating how UNNECESSARY it is. You are clearly aware of how packaging is sometimes taken to strange extremes for seemingly no reason. The website below is a humorous blog which shows some of the worst offenders in excess packaging. The winner being lunchables, followed closely by phone cards which come packaged in way too much plastic, and M & M minis in the plastic tube.
Packaging materials and paper can account for nearly 31% of household and consumer waste. Many packaged goods use far more material in their packaging than is necessary. An easy way to cut down on your packaging waste is to buy food and household goods in bulk; individually packaged goods use far more material than builk goods.
