Ethanol vs Gasoline?

Both create greenhouse gases, the issue about ethanol vs gasoline is that ethanol is renewable because it is made out of a plant product such as corn, or sugar cane. Gasoline was made from past vegetation patches that got stuck between rocks, and over millions of years of pressure formed the oil and other fossil fuels. Ethanol still uses gasoline, and is usually a mixture of the two, but the issue is that the part of ethanol gasoline that is ethanol is renewable, and can be regrown.
