There are organizations located in the U.S. that are pushing for ethanol to become a more represented fuel source. Currently, ethanol blended with gas supplies about two percent of fuel sources for America’s transportation industry. However, because ethanol can be made from numerous sources, there is still potential. One country that has embraced the ethanol business is Brazil. They create their ethanol from sugarcane and after a campaign by the government to produce 100% ethanol fueled vehicles, the ethanol business is flourishing. Today 70% of Brazils new car sales are Flex Fuel vehicles that can run on 100% ethanol or a gasoline ethanol blend.
