Is a ecosystem bigger than a biome?

Other way around. Biomes are made up of several ecosystems. Biomes refer to large regions of the world with similar climates and organisms. You would call tundra a biome, as well as rainforests, deserts, grasslands, etc. Within a generically titled biome, you can find many ecosystems depending on the particular plants and animals of the area and how they interact with one another.
