Eating sushi shouldn’t be bad for the environment but it could be, depending on what kind of fish you are eating and where it came from. Ideally, sushi and all other fish for human consumption should be caught in a sustainable manner or from fisheries that raise fish for your local sushi bar. If the fish you are about to eat was caught in the wild, chances are that it wasn’t caught in a sustainable manner and is probably not local either. If you are going to spend high dollar on sushi, go somewhere where you are absolutely sure the fish was caught locally and in some sort of way that does not hurt the species.
