Dry erase markers tend to leave behind a residue over time. If it is hazardous to your health, it is only because the marker itself contains something that is hazardous to your health.
In this regard, some dry erase markers are better than others. Those that contain “Methyl isobutyl ketone” have traditionally been pinned as the ones to avoid long exposures to. See the link below for more debate about the dangers of dry erase markers.
