During which era did we start to be so harmful to the environment?

    The common consensus is that the really harm of greenhouse gas emissions, and thus global warming began with the industrial revolution in the 1700s, though it really took off in the 1800s. An argument could be made that the worst damage came with the invention of the car early last century. While others might say that even turning to agriculture some 10,000 years ago was harmful.
