X-ray film does not emit radiation, in fact, x-ray film must be protected from ionizing radiation because it can damage the film.
Just the x-ray machine emits radiation. That’s why when you go to the dentist for x-rays, they place a protective cover over your body. This is to protect your chest from any type of radiation that may be present. When I was little, my mom wouldn’t let me get x-rays, since she was so paranoid over the radiation.
