Does the world need nuclear energy?

If you are talking about the decay of radioactive elements deep within the earth that causes heat, and allows us to produce geothermal energy, then I would say that is a good type of energy to have. However, large nuclear power plants that require refined uranium go along with several other issues such as the exploitation of Native Americans. Fortunately, we have other options. Solar power is becoming a lot cheaper. Even though solar power can only be collected during the day, that is actually the time when we use the most energy and we can store it in batteries for later use.
