Does working out all the time do damage to your body?

    Yes, excessive exercise can cause damage to the body. Too much of a good thing can be a health risk. Symptoms of excessive exercise can vary from exhaustion, headaches, and loss of appetite to depression, recurrent illness and loss of coordination.

    Rest days are important in letting your body recover from exercise, as is exercising in moderation.

    Yes, it will.  It also depends on the type of workout and how hard you push yourself.  Some things are fine to do everyday (ex. yoga).  But overall, don’t overdo it.

    While daily cardiovascular excercise such as running, swimming or biking are fine to perform on a regular basis. However, repeated anabolic excercise without adequate rest can induce overtraining. This can actually stunt your muscle growth and cause serious joint, muscle and heart complications.
