Does watching little or no television reduce the risk for dementia among the elderly?

Research shows that adopting a “brain-healthy” lifestyle at mid-life or earlier will help prevent late-life diseases like dementia. That means avoiding activities like watching mindless television, yes, but it also means eating right and staying fit. A person also can’t just stop watching TV, they must replace that time with stimulating activities like reading, debate, word puzzles, playing a musical instrument, etc.
