Does the United States postal service drive more than other mail systems in other countries?

I can’t find specific numbers for you, but logic would say yes. The United States is an exceptionally large country. With such a large area of land to cover that can’t be reached by ocean shipping, driving must necessarily pick up the slack. Additionally, the large, wealthy population of the US simply mails more than most other countries. Contrast this with most other countries, which are generally much smaller and would require less driving, even if they had more mail output.
