Does a tree with more leafs produce more oxygen than one without leafs?

Leaves are typically the portion of trees and plants that perform photosynthesis, which is the conversion of light, carbon dioxide and water into sugars that give the plant it’s growing strength.  One byproduct of this process is Oxygen, which we all know and love.  Therefore the greener and more lush a plant is, the more it is synthesizing, and thus the more oxygen is being generated from breaking down Carbon Dioxide.
