If we consider only photosynthesis, the numbers are equal. The chemical equation for photosynthesis is 6H2o + 6CO2=C6H12O6 + 6O2.
To be honest, plants breathe just like you or me, with the exception that they inhale carbon dioxide. Animals and plants have this biological harmony in which we breathe out what the other needs to breathe in. So it’s like asking we humans breathe out more CO2, which we do not. Plants inhale the same ratio of carbon dioxide that they exhale as oxygen. Now, some larger plants may breathe in more CO2 than the smaller plants, and therefore produce more oxygen. But overall, plants will produce oxygen equal to the amount of carbon dioxide they breathe out.
