Ocean water travels in currents and some around part of the earth. These tidal currents are strong and distribute cool or hot ocean water around the world.
Water does indeed travel throughout the Earth, through the Water Cycle. This is particularly true of ocean water, which is picked up by large storm systems then deposited on land in the form of rain or snow. The water than runs off into the soil, where it percolates down into underground aquifers or runs back to the sea either by rivers or lakes, and the process begins again.
