Does technology do more for the environment than the environment does for technology?

If by “do more”, you mean “have a positive impact on”, then the answer thus far is definitely no. Technology requires lots of natural resources, energy, and water to produce. These put a strain on the environment. Even “green technologies” require these same resources to be produced, and the only reason they are good is because they are less environmentally damaging than the alternative. In a world without technology, we wouldn’t have greenhouse gas emissions in the first place, and the natural environment would be much better off.
