Does a spring that comes our of a rocky bed have more minerals than one that comes up through the sand?

Generally, no. Sand is more permeable and contains smaller and lighter particles of whatever minerals are present (lots of quartz and silica, some others too!) When a spring goes through a sandy bed, it will pick up far more minerals than if it comes through a rocky bed. However, if the rock bed is made up of rocks that are very permeable, like limestone, many minerals can be extracted by a flowing stream.
