Does sport fishing hurt fish population?

No, sport fishing is done responsibly with fish than are high enough in population that it will not affect their overall numbers. A certain level of fish extraction could be important to an ecosystem to ensure that overpopulation does not occur.

Fish populations are generally hurt when large fishing corporations extra too large an amount of fish, so that the population becomes unsustainable and eventually the species becomes endangered, this overextraction is known as “the tragedy of the commons”.
