Does smog damage the lungs?

    Yes, smog does damage the lungs. While short exposure to smog does very little damage to the lungs, prolonged exposure may hurt the lining of the lungs. Furthermore, smog will aggravate anyone with preexisting lung or respiratory conditions. It’s somewhat rare, but regular and prolonged exposure may also lead to cancer.
