The Toyota Scion iQ will be released for sale in 2012, and was debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011. The iQ will be able to get up to 50 miles on a charge, which puts it behind the similar Nissan Leaf – which can get twice as much mileage. The vehicle will have seating space for four passengers – three adults and one child, who will sit behind the driver (www.scion.com).
As of now, Toyota does not have a line of electric Scions until 2012 when it will resease the Scion iQ. Toyota does have an extensive number of hybrid vehicles though with the Prius line.
Some more infor on the Scion iQ:
90 horsepower, 1.3 liter, four cylinder, 30 miles to the gallon. Smallest four seet car with 10 airbags and six speaker sterero. Projected price $12,000.
