There are a lot of salt farms in the local area, and I am wondering if anyone knows of any potential environmental impacts.
Yes. It damages fish, soil nearby, water nearby and, in general, isn’t good for the ecosystem. That being said, it isn’t impossible to adapt to a saline environment. There are varieties of plants that grow in relatively salty conditions, or ways to get salt out of the environment.
