Does running cause you to breathe more oxygen which could hurt the environment more?

When we run, our muscles do require more oxygen, and this can manifest itself in changed breathing patterns.

However, I do not believe that this breathing change has anywhere close to a significant effect on the global oxygen supply, or on the environment as a whole.
