Yes, but only a very small amount. Plants use photosynthesis to convert the energy from the sun into sugars using water and carbon dioxide. However, photosynthesis produces far more sugars and oxygen than the plant actually needs during the day, so the plants use the leftover oxygen to meet their energy needs at night, when sunlight is not available to them.
