Does the pesticides used on our agriculture hurt our bee populations?

They can.  In recent years, studies have shown the decline of honeybee populations, linking it to pesticide use.  It hit European countries particularly hard, causing 26% of the colonies in Canada to be lost in 2008.  However, once the link was made, measures have been taken to take the pesticides in question off the market to help restore the bee population.
