Palm oil biodeisel does not emit a lot when burned, but the production process can be very emissions intensive. In many cases, palm oil biodeisel is produced on deforested peat-lands, this results in a fuel with 2000% of the emissions that regular gas produces. With biodeisel, it is mainly about the environmental impact of the production process rather than the emissions released when the fuel is burned.
