Yes, overfishing obviously removes too many fish from the sea. This hurts these species population, and obviously when a population is drastically lowered, there is a ripple effect throughout the food web. Some fish wont have enough prey species, and some creatures wont have a predator. These can create huge and lasting effects all across the globe.
Overfishing impacts everyone the in the same way that deforesting the rainforest impacts everyone or destroying the topsoil in the American midwest impacts everyone.
