Does organic peanut butter contain more aflatoxin than non organic peanut butter?

    It would seem so. The lack of fungicide used in organic farming unfortunately allows funguses that produce unsafe toxins to grow on the crops. However, peanut butter is tested for levels of aflatoxin. If a batch were to test too high, it would not be sold. We are exposed to thousands of toxins every day though–including fungicide residues in our foods–so it’s up to you to make the callas to whether or not you would consume it.
