There isn’t a noticeable difference in the growth times between organic and non-organic cotton. Organic cotton is much more environmentally friendly though, since non-organic cotton is one of the most pesticide intensive crops in the world. Cotton takes a lot of water to grow, both organic and non-organic, this is not as environmentally friendly as hemp. Hemp also grows much faster than cotton and can be easily grown without any pesticides.
Its important to remember when we’re being bombarded by ORGANIC vs EVERYTHING ELSE that the organic stuff is the same as the everything else. It’s all about how the thing is produced. Organic corn, for example, is just the same as any other corn (ok ok, other non-GMO corn), it’s just simply not raised with the use of pesticides or other harmful chemicals. It’s au naturelle.
