About two-thirds of all of Oregon’s energy comes from hydroelectric sources. However, Oregon also has great potential for wind energy, and produces about 4% of all wind energy produced in the US. In addition, Oregon adopted a renewable energy portfolio standard that requires the state to get about a quarter of its energy from renewable sources by 2025
