It is pretty hard for a president to have a “green” lifestyle. With air force 1, several helicopters and a motorcade traveling wherever you go there are a lot of fossil fuels being used in his daily life. That is not to mention all of the transportation for his daily appearances, frequent trans-oceanic travel and giant home and office. However, between President Obama and Michelle’s initiatives, they are probably doing pretty well compared to their predecessors. Having a white house garden which can provide many of the vegetables needed for state dinners is great. Not only decreasing the transportation of food, but also increasing local oxygen output. If he could get solar panels put back on the white house I’d say we could call him a pretty green president.
