Does mouthwash hurt our water drinking water?

    Yes, it does have an effect. Chemicals like formaldehyde, sodium lauryl sulfate, polysorbate and
    Cetylpyridinium Chloride end up in our water systems. This is bad for humans, but also many aquatic animals and organisms.

    They do make green mouthwash which you can find at health food stores, and they wont be as destructive since they use natural ingredients.  Anything added to the waterways affects the quality of water.
