Lotus has been introducing concept Hybrid cars since at least 2008 (see one in the link below). However, I haven’t found a concept car that was actually produced.
I have not found evidence of Lotus mass producting a hybrid cars. They have made a few hybrid “concept cars” but as concept cars tend to go, none appear to have gone to fruition. The Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid car was presented at a 2010 Geneva auto show, but it sounds like they don’t plan on making it, they plan on selling it to another company. In other words, Lotus makes hybrid engines but doesn’t use them in their cars.
If you like the Lotus but want an eco-friendly option, you might like the Fisker Karma. The Fisker Karma is a plug-in hybrid electric luxury car designed by the same designer who works for BMW. This car can also be run on solar power as the entire hood of the car is a solar panel. It’s due to hit production by the 21st of this month.
