Does light penetrate one type of cloud better than the other?

Clouds are physically composed of moist and certain suspended particles such as dust. Some clouds, such as cirrus clouds, are thin and the moist dissipates more quickly when heat generated from the light dissipates the clouds. Clouds such as cumulus and nimbus are dense enough that light cannot penetrate it as well or at all.
