does it take a lot of energy to make things out of blown glass?

It takes a decent amount of energy to melt the glass. Glass is in its liquid state at about 2000 degrees farenheit, once heated to this consistency glass blowers can create many shapes and artful pieces. Most times more heat from blow torches and reheating holes is used during the creation of pieces. Usually, propane or natural gas is used, resulting in relatively low emissions.
