The Minister for Environment and Forests in India is named Jairam Ramesh. He is involved in the management of endangered species, climate control policy, and more. He is very interested in fuel efficiency and energy saving buildings, but does not agree with the cap-and-trade policy as we currently structure it. He explained to Forbes magazine that although India’s popluation is high, many of them carry on a lifestyle that has a very low carbon footprint.
