Does hydropower help with global warming?

Yes, very much so. Using hydropower uses water to generate electricity, which means that no fossil fuels are used and no carbon contributes to the greenhouse effect. Water is a renewable resource, much like the Sun, or employing geothermal methods. Using hydropower can be one solution in the race to curb greenhouse gas emission in the future.
