Yes, and no. Apparently 2/3 of people produce farts that have no methane in them, and 1/3 of people do. The methane is generated by the bacteria in our gut that help us digest our food.
Another source of methane comes from the wastes we dispose of in landfills. While our trash is decomposing, it emits methane, which some companies are capturing to use as a fuel…one man’s trash really might be another company’s profit.
Yes, but a relatively minor amount. More methane is genearted as bacteria work on the waste. Passing gas is a form of human “waste” and it certainly contains methane.
