Does water have to be cleaned after fog nets capture it?

Yes, but only minimally.  After the water is caught it is stored in concrete cisterns.  Because it is the cistern, rather than the water, that is not “clean,” if the water is to be used for drinking, it is lightly chlorinated.  Otherwise, it is used directly.
