Lasers do not increase the chances of developing skin cancer — in fact, some of the lasers are useful in treating pre-cancerous lesions, thus reducing the risk of developing skin cancer.
Laser hair removal problems almost exclusively relate to the skin absorbing too much of the laser energy, resulting in laser hair removal problems such as burns, blisters, pigmentation changes, etc.
