Does growing plants in greenhouses save water?

A greenhouse can help to save water. The plastic of the house helps to maintain water inside and keeps the temperature warm so that water. The plants also can grow faster because conditions are more optimal. This, overtime, will reduce the amount of water used to keep the plants alive as they produce the fruit or vegetable you desire.

I agree with natricine3 that greenhouses do take less water to grow the plants. I have seen greenhouses that get condensation on the roof and the walls which I would imagine woudl cause a lot of moisture to be in the air which would get absorbed into the plants.
