Does the government tell cities how to react to a water shortage?

    Yes. Los Angeles has put into place water restrictions for residents of Los Angeles county. Residents are only allowed to use their sprinkler system on Mondays and Thursdays. Water landscaping, including lawns, can only be conducted after 4 PM. It’s illegal to serve water to customers in restaurants unless requested.

    With the water crisis as it is today more counties should regulate water use and require these restrictions as well. For more water restrictions go to:
