Does the government subsidize most agriculture?

    According to USDA figures from 2007, only 38% of farmers received subsidy payments.  So the simple answer to your question is no, most agriculture does not receive subsidy.  The chart below also shows a breakdown of what areas of agriculture receive subsidies.  The corn/feed market receive large compensation because of the ethanol blend in fuel, therefore we are giving massive amounts of money to farmers to fuel our vehicles instead of funding markets that help to feed and clothe us.
