Does the government regulate all pesticides in the US?

In effect, yes. All pesticides sold and distributed in the Unites States must be registered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), whose job it is to assess the effects of each pesticide on the humans and the environment. Though pesticides are regulated, there is controversy as to the EPA’s efficacy or concern to protecting the interests of the environment. Most recently environmentalists and the National Honey Bee Advisory Board have posed questions about the use of clothianidin in pesticides as it is suspected to be a cause of mass bee losses over the past decade.
