Yes. But not in a direct way. Governments around the world have the power to ban certain products if they don’t meet the countries standards. Also governments establish policies for companies to follow if they are to enter the market. For example, there are certain products that are banned from the US and EU because they don’t comply with the standards but are sold in Asia.
