Does the government give tax breaks to large companies if they recycle?

          Some state governments do. In Montana, for example, taxpayers who buy recycled materials as a business expense can deduct 10 percent of the cost from their income. Twenty-five states have tax incentives or credits for companies who invest in recycling.
