Does golf or skiing have a worse impact on the environment?

Overall skiing has a worse impact on the environment. Golf does take up a lot of water to maintain a course, especially in the summer and warmer climates, but it is a sport played on natural grounds and can provide a habitat for some birds and local wildlife. Skiing involves a lot of buildings and machinery to become possible, which uses up a lot of energy. Also many people that do ski have to drive to the mountains where the snow is, causing for more cars to be on the road using up more oil and releasing more fuel into the atmosphere. Resorts have been built around skiing areas and this causes more people to use more energy.
