Does global warming make natural disasters more common?

Many scientific studies suggest that global climate change is certainly compounding, if not creating, further environmental disasters. Scientists believe that the frequency and severity of many storms like Hurricanes are being affected by climate change. Changes in global temperatures and sea-water temperatures are changing the way storms form. The more volatile changes in temperature we are seeing are resulting in more severe storms that are causing more and more destruction on place like the American Gulf Coast.
