Does global warming cause trees to die?

Yes. This is to be expected with even minor climate change. The trees die because of warming trends and the drought conditions that follow. This has happened already in the forests of the western United States. By increasing temperatures, global warming also allows more insects and diseases to spread farther in tree populations.
